Recently...

Recently, am taking joy in the things that most people overlook, like the fact that the clovers in my yard will soon be big enough that I can just lay in the yard, reading whatever book I have managed to get my hands on. (my family might get all the good ones. :)) The other girls at my school are leaving me alone, for now, but I am wary. One of them brought up reputation to me, a touchy spot of mine, and I told her that I didn't care if people disliked me for making friends with the school 'geek', a girl who has little friends because of her disability,(not saying, don't ask.) because my reputation was at rock bottom. After that she stopped bringing it up. I am tired of being gossiped about, and I made this very clear to a girl who saw me walking with my friend. I don't know if walking with him somehow makes me his 'girlfriend', but I am not interested in boys. I am GAY, for crying out loud! Gay, and proud of it! There is no reason, in this day and age, that a woman should have to keep secret the fact that she is gay.
