Three days. That's how many days of school I have left. I am planning the biggest backyard pary ever on Friday because of this. It'll be epic.

Shali: All my life, I've been my brothers shadow, but now it's as if I'm stepping into the fresh early light of predawn, standing there and realizing that this is MY day. This is my life to live, and maybe my only one. I have to live it while I have the chance. Suddenly, the things people say about me don't register. I hear them, but it's as if they're coming from miles away. When people mess with Oliva, I'm strong enough to scare the crap out of them. My books don't feel like a shield anymore, but a home. And I can laugh again. Smiling was one thing. Laughing was quite another. I've been prodded and teased, mentally broken, and yet somehow I can still smile. My hearts been torn in two, and it's been patched back together. I've heard the things they say, and I just don't care. I was weak before. I'm stronger now.
